One of Singapore’s best chefs, Andre Chiang (pictured with Maggie White from Tourism Australia), and a popular trio of DJs, Rod, Andre and Jill from 91.3FM known as The Married Men, have joined Tourism Australia’s Friends of Australia program in recognition for their efforts in promoting Australia. Andre Chiang was involved in promoting Australian food and wine experiences at the recent Noosa Food & Wine Festival and the Crave Sydney Food Festival. The Married Men trio have also been raising the profile of the destination, following their adventure Down Under during which they broadcast their morning drive time show live from Australia to approximately one million listeners in Singapore. Friends of Australia is a global advocacy network of over 140 opinion leaders and celebrities, who work closely with Tourism Australia to share their holiday experiences and generate ‘word of mouth’ buzz about Australia. The program includes a diverse range of influential people including Richard Branson, Donna Hay and Lance Armstrong.
