KEY WEST STYLE COMES TO KEY BISCAYNE: Whiskey Joe’s, a rollicking, casual bar & grill born in Tampa in 2009 is slated to open in Miami’s Key Biscayne in July 2012. With the goal of bringing a new level of merriment to South Florida, the indoor/outdoor restaurant and bar, which is all about cold beers and great food, is built upon the legend of Whiskey Joe. A fictitious, Miami alligator wrestler – Whiskey Joe’s legacy of food, drink, song and spirit pervades the funky, laid-back look and feel of the space, which is adorned with rough sawn wood floors, rusty corrugated metals, beer signs and his trophy kills. With dockside dining and drinking, reminiscent of the Florida Keys or Caribbean, complete with live entertainment, extra-large specialty cocktails and a nonstop party atmosphere, Whiskey Joe’s is the place to come after a day of boating. Just pull up to the dock for a cold drink, great food and a lively crowd. Whiskey Joe’s offers a wallet-friendly, option-packed menu ($2.00 - $21.00) with plenty of seafood, including Whiskey Joe’s famous fish tacos, crab cakes, fried shrimp, a sustainable catch of the day, and a seafood bar featuring oysters on the half shell and peel & eat shrimp.
