
Attractions of Germany. The Herreninsel Island is located in 80 kilometers away from Munich at the Alpine foothills on a shore of the beautiful lake Chiemsee, which is also called the Bavarian Sea. They call the Herreninsel Island male, because there was a monastery here before, and now there is the palace of Ludwig II - the last King of Bavaria.
The Palace of Ludwig II was built on the Versailles pattern designed by architect G. Dolmann (1878-1885). Linden alleys and French gardens, decorated with fountains lead to the lake. The are luxury bedroom with queen size bed 3 x 2,6 m, mirrored hall with a row of seventeen arched windows, 33 chandeliers and 44 girandoles and also the Blue salon in a form of a mirrored cabinet with a decoration in the Rococo style in the palace.
