Tourism in Germany. The Mosel River flows through three countries. It originates in France in the province of Alsace, passes through Luxembourg, crosses with the Trier and flows into the Rhine in Koblenz area, forming so-called German angle. Its total length is 544 km. The Mosel is considered to be one of the most attractive European rivers. The river valley is famous for its natural scenery, medieval castles, fine wines.
River cruises on the Moselle involve visit to: the Eltts Castle, cities of Cochem, Beilstein, Ziel, Traben-Trarbach, Bernkastel-Kues and Trier. All these towns are filled with romantic old half-timbered architecture. In vineyards and cozy wine cellars one can taste noble Mosel wine and taste wonderful dishes of local cuisine.
