Launch of the RFC Discount Card
The Rio Film Commission Discount Card was launched on December 13 at an event at Parque Lage. Both audiovisual production companies and service providers can now register on the Rio Film Commission website. The card will be valid for domestic and international productions, for companies outside the State of Rio de Janeiro. This is a business opportunity for both parts involved in an audiovisual production, whether a full feature film, a short, documentary or publicity film.
For Rio Convention & Visitors Bureau, in partnership with the Rio Film Commission, this initiative blends well with our final objective, which is to increase the flow of tourists to the city, apart from being a business opportunity for our sponsors, affirms Paulo Senise, executive director of Rio CVB.
To give you an idea of numbers, in 2011 the Rio Film Commission supported more than 60 audiovisual productions in the city.
